Getting started
To start a Shortcut import:- Go to Settings > Workspace > Importers
- Select Shortcut from the available import options
- Enter your Shortcut API token
- Review and confirm the import options before proceeding
Data mapping

| Title | Title |
| Tasks | Checklist items |
| Labels | Tags (workspace level) |
| Due | Due date |
| Owner | Assignee |
| Requester | Creator |
| Story relationships | Equivalent Superthread relationships |
| Epic | Parent card |
| Priority | Priority field |
| Comments | Comments |
| Attachments | Attachments |
| Severity | Tags (workspace level) |
| Skill set | Tags (workspace level) |
Workflow mapping
- Shortcut workflows are converted to Superthread boards
- Each state in the workflow becomes a list in the board
- A board is created for each “Team - Workflow” combination
- Epics are imported as parent cards to a dedicated “Epics” board
After import
- All imported cards include a link back to their original Shortcut location
- You can view your import history in Settings > Workspace > Importers
- Severity and Skill set tags are created at the workspace level
- You can delete these tags from the workspace tags settings page if no longer needed
Best practices
- Include Epics in your import to preserve story relationships
- Review and organize your boards after import
- Consider which tags you want to keep or remove
- Map team members to ensure proper assignment
